There’s a new Veggie Tales Christmas DVD, their third, released in October just in time for the holidays. My daughters watched this with their cousins, ages 2 and 4, Thanksgiving night and LOVED it!
Here’s a synopsis of the 45-minute DVD:
When Junior Asparagus and his Veggie friends learn that Laura Carrot’s dad has lost his job on Christmas Eve, Bob the Tomato decides to tell the kids a very special story about giving. Using a big storybook and a little imagination, they all travel back to ancient Greece to meet Saint Nicholas — the world’s greatest giver.
This is a great children’s DVD to add to your holiday collection.
One Savvy Housewife reader will win this new Veggie Tales Christmas DVD. Simply leave a comment here about your favorite Veggie Tales character OR your favorite family holiday movie. One winner will be chosen at random from all eligible comments left by midnight Thursday, December 3.

I adore Junior.
The hubby and I were thrilled when we had kiddos, so we could finally justify our VeggieTales addiction – though perhaps it still made very little sense to be buying VT DVDs for infants. They’re old enough now to enjoy them, though!
