The winner is Danetta who commented, “When I go to Subway I always get a sub with black forest ham and pepper jack cheese with the works on Italian herbs and cheese bread.” Thanks to everyone who entered the Subway Restaurants giveaway here on Savvy Housewife!
It’s family road trip time and unless you’re totally dysfunctional like the Griswolds, road trips are usually great for family bonding. It also helps that we have a dual screen portable DVD player for our girls…ahem.
We load up on old school gas station goodies like Lemonheads and Bit O Honey to munch on in the car and I also pack things like cereal bars for the girls (I could tell you we pack only healthy snacks like raisins and apples but I’d be lying), but when it comes to lunch on the road, we try to steer toward something a little healthier. Subway is a nice change of pace from the usual burgers and fries option and they now have an easy way for you to scout out their locations on your road trips with their new Subway restaurant locator.
Subway sent me this fun car kit perfect for road trips and I have one to give away! (The color of the insulated lunch pack may vary, just FYI.)

The kit (which has a value of approximately $40) includes an insulated lunch tote for all those healthy snacks, a $15 SUBWAY gift card, and fun car games to help stave off boredom. Simply leave a comment here about your favorite Subway sandwich. I love the veggie sub as well as the chicken bacon ranch. A random winner will be chosen from all eligible comments (U.S. addresses only) left by midnight Saturday, July 11. For an extra entry, simply Tweet about this giveaway, but do leave an extra comment telling me you’ve done so. Thanks and good luck!
In the spirit of road trips and exploring, Subway has teamed up with National Geographic. This summer’s “Taste for Adventure” contest gives kids age 6 to 14 a chance to win an Alaskan Family Adventure! They simply need to write in 100 words or less about their exciting journey (past, present, or even a dream adventure) for a chance to win. Kids can enter online at kids.nationalgeographic.com or www.Subwaykids.com or in Subway restaurants nationwide.

Meatball Sub
My favorite was the Southwest Steak and Cheese, but I find myself eating the Spicy Italian nowadays.
I love chicken breast on wheat.
I love the turkey with provolone, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. But….can’t wait to try the new chicken salad!
Chicken Bacon Ranch, toasted, with red onions and avocado. Best lunch in the world.
My favorite all time subway sandwich is the cold cut combo with everything..
