Pimp Your Product And My Disclosure Policy

I love to review products for families and have worked with such brands as Aveeno, Kodak, LeapFrog, Sister Schubert’s, Lee Jeans, and Clorox. I have also reviewed beautiful Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Destin, Florida, as a family vacation destination and we traveled to St. Augustine, Florida, this summer to review the Renaissance Resort at the World Golf Village.

I require a sample to test in order to review a product or, for an online-based service or other subscription-type service, I need a temporary log-in or account. For example, if I review a book or a DVD or a toy, I have received a review copy. As a general rule I rarely write paid sponsored posts and will clearly note if a post is a sponsored review through my ad network or some other sponsorship opportunity. I have worked in PR and I have a degree in print journalism so I enjoy writing and I also understand and appreciate the PR side of the business.

The views and opinions expressed on Savvy Housewife belong solely to me. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.

What types of products do I typically review?

  • Electronics, household goods, food and beverage products, beauty products, toys, and clothing and services my family would truly find useful.
  • I have two daughters ages 7 and 4, so I gravitate toward products appropriate for their age and gender.
  • My husband is a techie entrepreneur who owns a growing computer services company, so we love tech gadgets.
  • We have two dogs and I’d kill for a Dyson Animal. Well kill might be too strong a word. OK, so not really.

    Hi,

We are looking into having people review our protective sports eyewear. I reviewed your requirements and I need more information from you.
Would you be interested in reviewing our product?
    What is your charge?
Giveaways, how many people do you send your eblast with the giveaway to?
How many people do you have visiting your website monthly?
    I appreciate your time.
Since this is my first time contacting anyone about our product, please let me know if I am missing anything or if you have any other info that might help me.

    Thanks,
    Carol
