For the first time in its 60-year history the J.M. Smucker Company has launched two limited edition ice cream toppings flavors: Smucker’s Pumpkin Spice and Smucker’s Magic Shell Cherry.
Smucker’s Pumpkin Spice, which comes in a 12-ounce jar, is hands down my favorite of the two. I love anything pumpkin and it is delicious heated up and poured over vanilla ice cream. Made with real pumpkin puree, it tastes just like pumpkin pie, so if you need to get your pumpkin fix than this ice cream topping is for you. I think it would make a fun host gift this Thanksgiving paired with an autumn theme kitchen towel or candle.
My kids loved Smucker’s Magic Shell Cherry (note, do not refrigerate!) Magic Shell Cherry comes in a 7.25 ounce squeezable, no-mess container that is easy for kids to handle.
The Smucker’s website has great recipes, including this yummy Pumpkin Spice Thumbprint Cookie recipe that sounds easy enough for me to master.
Both limited edition flavors will be available through December and Smucker’s is now hosting a “Your Vanilla Is Showing” campaign for ice cream lovers to cast their vote for the next limited edition topping flavor: black cherry, apple cinnamon, or Magic Shell Cupcake. Visit the Smucker’s website to vote; the new flavor will be announced early next year.

Oh wow. Yum.
