My Kingdom For A Dyson

We have two dogs who definitely give our house that lived in, well-loved ambience. Jack is the MOFO shedding variety (part Akita.) He is gorgeous. He is red. He is a giant walking fur ball. Oh, and we have another rescue dog, Bailey, who is part Corgi part German Shepherd. She was our first “baby” when we got married 11 years ago.

Exhibit A and B on a “good fur day,” meaning Jack had recently shed his coat and I used it to stuff 485 throw pillows. Also, you can clearly tell who the alpha dog is around here.

We have a Dyson. For a while after we got it whenever friends came over they vacumed. The most amazing and repulsing thing was our first time using it. We had a Hoover before, and we knew it was on its way out. But the first time we vacumed our 2-bedroom apartment with the Dyson we could have made a whole new (large) dog out of the fur & crud we vacumed up. It was disgusting and satisfying at the same time. Our friends who have two large dogs said they could’ve created two new dogs out of what was vacumed up their first time.

I don’t own one yet, but hope to one day. I know a few people who have one and swear by them. One person I know cleans her house like you wouldn’t believe. You will never see any dirt in her house, trust me. It’s a no shoe house so hardly any dirt is tracked in. The day she got the Dyson she vacumed with her regular one earlier in the day, then the Dyson and filled the canister up, then did the Dyson again the next day and filled it up. Like I said she is a clean freak so it tells you how well it works. Also my other friend has 7 cats not including her other pets and you wouldn’t know because there’s hardly any pet hair at her house. Needless to say I’ll be sure to enter the contest:)

I was sick last week so I am catching up on all the old posts! But I just wanted to say that my friend looked into a Dyson but then found a Hoover that had similar pet hair removal features for about half the price. And it was rated better. It has a button that signals when the floor is finally clean. Something I could not have or else I would probably go insane waiting for it to always be clean!
