My 7-year-old loves playing games on her Nintendo DS and I’m always on the lookout for new ones that will both hold her interest and be age and gender appropriate for her.
A great new game for the Nintendo DS and Wii was released this fall called My Baby: First Steps and we were given the opportunity to test it out. Following in the footsteps of My Baby Boy or Girl, My Baby: First Steps continues the journey of raising a baby at 15-months-old.
My Baby: First Steps lets little girls play baby dolls in a tech-savvy, 21st century way. They learn to nurture and encourage their “baby” in a fun, interactive format. My daughter’s favorite game is the diaper changing game. Her baby’s “happiness meter” helps her gauge just how well she is interacting with her virtual baby.
Here are some other great features about My Baby: First Steps:
- Customize your baby – choose cute outfits and accessories, fun toys, and even decorate their room (my daughter LOVES this feature)
- Care for your baby and teach them new things: how to walk, talk, shapes, colors, and keep them out of trouble!
- Choose whether you want a boy or girl, name your baby, and choose your baby’s hair color, etc. (or let it be a surprise)
- Lots of fun activities to do with your baby: trying new foods, reading bedtime stories, potty training, and tracking your baby’s growth through his or her toddler years.
