Dole Way To Snack Giveaway

Filed under: Savvy Child, Savvy Eats and Drinks — admin at 8:49 am on Friday, August 29, 2008

Now that school is back in full swing, I make sure I keep a stash of snacks for that after school “Mommy I’m STARVING” time. Also, it doesn’t hurt to have an emergency bottle of wine for mama and daddy. I’m just sayin’.

Families have been submitting their favorite healthy, kid-friendly recipes to the Dole Way to Snack! Recipe Contest. Visit the official website to find smart snacking recipe ideas and vote for your favorite snack daily for a chance to win $100!

In November the crazy zoo gang from Madagascar returns to the big screen in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. Visit the Dole Marty Snak Pak site for information on purchasing an adorable limited edition insulated Marty Snak Pak, which is the perfect size and shape for Dole Fruit Bowls.

One lucky Savvy Housewife reader will win coupons for a month’s worth of Dole Fruit Bowls, a week’s worth of Dole Jarred Fruit products AND a Madagascar 1 DVD. To enter, simply leave a comment here about your child’s favorite healthy snack. A random winner will be drawn from all eligible entries left by midnight Thursday, September 4. You don’t need a blog or website to enter, but you do need to leave a valid e-mail address so that I can contact you should you win. Giveaway open to U.S. residents only.

Does popcorn count as healthy? The boy loves popcorn. He also usually likes yogurt. Oh, and he LOVES beans. I know that’s healthy. And carrots.

My kids love when we make smoothies. We use a variety of things and the smoothies are never the same!! We use fresh fruit, yogurt, sometimes throw in Cheerios, whatever we happen to have that sounds good at that moment. I can even manage to use different things that are popular with the kids and they don’t even know, such as mangoes and guava…not their favorites but mom sure does like them!!
Great giveaway!!
Many blessings,
Leanne
